Kill Paris – I’m Free

Kill Paris – bit of a mean name isn’t it? Hopefully the Parisiens don’t get too mad at the name and smack him down with their stalest baguettes. First of all let me set you off with a fact, he’s not actually from Paris (probably a good job as it’s not the nicest thing to mention the genocide of your own city!)
Joking aside, let me introduce you to Kill Paris properly, he’s from L.A, he’s a certified Ableton trainer (which is pretty cool as Ableton is very tricky), he’s made his own custom controllers, and apparently plays loops, bass, synth, guitar and drums all while mixing in and out of songs. I’d like to see that, how many arms does he have? I thought us men weren’t meant to be able to multi-task? Oh well, just like his music, the fact he can do all that baffles me.
This song is “I’m Free”. The uplifting Madeon-esque bass line funks up a ridiculously gameboy esque synth rise with cheeky wobbles that keep those Deadmau5 and dub-pop fans extremely satisfied.
