MS MR – Hurricane

Sounding like Adele having a 22-year-old crisis, MS MR’s latest release is dark and brooding, but imbued with a soul bright enough to transcend any hasty goth labelling.
Full of glissando harpstrings and fiery vocal flutterings, this rare butterfly of a track brings to mind Bat for Lashes, Lana Del Ray and the aforementioned Adele into more upbeat territory. It’s a refreshing change to hear an artist with such a complete song, despite the scant information on the duo.
Expect to hear much, much more from MS MR, the re-invigoration of the plodding pop song is upon us!
