New Music: Fanzine

Emerging from a quiet little corner of London that is Stoke Newington, Fanzine are creating something quite special.

Old school friends, Jock (guitar & vocals), Kit (bass), Ed (guitar & vocals), and their current northern drummer Jack, are producing a timeless, swoonful noise, emanating through their majestic guitar solos and fuzz. Nostalgic calls from The Beach Boys, early Weezer and all the way through to classic rock can be heard.

Along with their fellow friends, History of Apple Pie, Old Forest and Gross Magic, Fanzine are launching into a new emerging scene, (dare I utter the words ‘new grunge’?).

Recently supporting the likes of Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Cults, UMO and Yuck, Fanzine are truly establishing themselves within the competitive and fickle world that is the London music scene.

Check out their recent track ‘Dream of You’, which is dreamy to say the least.
And catch them at White Light at the Lexington Friday 27th January, with support from Old Forest.
