Despite the trepidation, this culture clash, named “After Light”, is a triumph. The question of how to get Rustie from the abandoned warehouses and onto the radio was a real head scratcher – until now. Aluna’s vocals are calm, controlled, and sensuous, providing a smooth and consistent reference point amid Rustie’s multi-layered assault. The end result is glorious collaboration that never feels like an awkward compromise.
